We provide boat transportation and access to remote shoreline drop-off points on the South End of Kodiak Island, allowing hunters to independently pursue Sitka black-tailed deer and mountain goat in some of Alaska’s most respected hunting areas. Our focus is on safe, reliable transport and a dependable vessel to return to each day, allowing you to plan and conduct your hunt on your own terms while we handle the logistics on the water.

The F/V Valiant is a rugged, well-equipped vessel built for Kodiak conditions and extended stays on the water. Onboard, you’ll find clean and comfortable living quarters, heated sleeping areas, restrooms, a large covered harvesting shelter, walk-in freezer, a drying room, and ample space to unwind after a day in the field. With 24-hour electricity, unlimited Wi-Fi, hearty meals, and multiple redundant safety systems, Valiant offers a level of comfort rarely found in remote hunting transport operations.

What We Provide & What We Don’t
As a licensed Alaska Hunt Transporter, our role is to provide safe transportation, access, and onboard accommodations. We offer a dependable platform and access to remote hunting areas, but we do not provide guided hunting services.
What We Provide

- Hearty home-cooked meals, snacks, hot drinks, and packed lunches
- Skiff transportation to and from shore
- Covered onboard space suitable for dressing harvested game
- Unlimited Wi-Fi and 24-hour onboard power
What We Don’t Provide
- Hunting guidance, advice, or assistance with hunt decisions
- Direction on where, when, or how to hunt
- Maps or recommendations for targeting game
- Assistance with skinning, deboning, processing, or meat care
- Help with field salvage beyond providing transportation
- Hunting, harvesting, or meat-processing equipment
Hunters are fully responsible for their own gear, licenses, tags, meat care, and all hunting-related decisions, both in the field and aboard the vessel.

Are these hunts guided?
No. We operate strictly as a licensed Alaska Hunt Transporter. We provide lodging and transportation to and from shoreline access points, but all hunting decisions, field activities, and meat care are the responsibility of each hunter.
How does daily transportation work during the hunt?
Each morning, hunters are transported by skiff from the F/V Valiant to shoreline access points. You hunt independently throughout the day and return to the vessel in the late afternoon or early evening.
Where will our hunts take place on Kodiak Island?
Our operations are based on the remote South End of Kodiak Island, an area known for rugged terrain and strong wildlife populations. Specific locations are accessed by boat and skiff, depending on weather and conditions.
What’s included in the hunt transporter package?
Your package includes private stateroom accommodations aboard the F/V Valiant, heated living quarters, hot water, Wi-Fi, home-cooked hearty meals, daily skiff transportation, and floatplane transfers between Kodiak City and the vessel.
What species can I hunt during my trip?
